Black tank vent issue

I have a 2017 Hideout 315RDTS. We have been full time for 3 years. Midsummer on our way to Maine, black tank (half full) fell out of trailer while stopped overnight at rv park. We drained and disconnected tank, and stopped at camping World in Conway NH for extended warranty repair. Several issues with work done not for this forum; if you want to know PM me. Issue is this: since repair, tank fills to 30%, then back blows sewer gas into trailer when flushing toilet. Vent pipe is clear. Anyone have ideas? Did not have this problem until dealer reinstalled tank. Prior to angle iron failure we could fill tank without problems.

Does it shoot up a "bubble" when you first flush the toilet?

Only after the tank monitor reaches 30%. Anything greater than 30% causes a bubble.

That sounds like a vent issue. A bubble would occur if your tank contents block your vent. When they did the work on the tank, they could have extended the vent pipe too far into the tank, and when you hit 30% capacity it covers it...

Was leaning toward that idea; now just have to figure out how to seat vent properly without pulling underside and dropping tank again. Vent pipe is almost impossible to reach, and can't see top of tank at all, or seal. Really don't want to chance disconnecting vent from tank...

How are you determining 30%? If it's from the sensors you may be at 100%, those things, for most folks, are totally useless. On mine when it burps back thru the toilet that's the indication it's time to dump, the sensor reads 1/3 all the time empty or full.

I've had my toilet do the same when it gets pretty full and covers the bottom of the pipe that extends into the tank from the toilet. Shutoff the water and look into the toilet and see where the water level is.

Damn feel bad for you,, that's a problem I wouldn't want. Why not take it back to CW ? I agree sounds like vent is too far into the tank,,, good luck
