Whether it is a propane only issue is probably answered by your statement that lights in the fridge are not working. This actually sounds like a 12 volt problem. You may still have 12 volt lights working inside your unit, but if the voltage is a bit too low, your gas appliances will not work because there just isn't quite enough voltage to operate the valves that allow the gas to flow. I would be checking your 12 volt power at the battery. Possibly you have a bad connector or even a failed battery. You will need to start checking voltage from the battery to the electric panel where your 12 volt fuses are located.

^^^ Plus 1 for Bob.

Most modern Propane appliances need a 12v power source to trigger the spark to light them. If the thermocouple doesn't sense heat within a preset time frame it will block the gas flow to that device. If your lights are out, your battery needs checking. There also may be a solenoid device on some units, to shut you down in an emergency. That too would require 12v.When you were camping, were you on reliable "shore power", or work off of the 12v?

Good Luck,

You say the stove was working then didn't so it could be a low voltage situation if there is a 12 volt solenoid on the main gas line. Did you verify that you have gas? If you manually changed over tanks it's easy to open the gas valve too rapidly thus causing the safety valve on the tank to close. LP valves should be opened very slowly to prevent that from happening.

We topped off propane tanks before leaving..and had two 12v batteries. The lights in camper all worked except in fridge. We are now home and have it on shore power...still not working. Am following all suggestions. Where is selenoid located? Is there only one or does each appliance have one?

What about the other gas appliances? Is the fridge lights the only issue now? If you had the tanks turned off to fill before leaving then you most likely will need to purge the gas line before fridge, water heater and furnace will work. Purge the line by turning on and igniting all the burners on the stove top. Let them burn for about a minute so the gas lines have no air in them. It's unusual for a travel trailer to have a solenoid valve on the main line. Not knowing if you are the original owner or not I would have no way of knowing if a previous owner had one installed. If it had one, it would be down stream of the gas regulator on the main gas line.

Everything propane related suddenly stopped working

I’d start by turning off propane tanks.
Disconnect propane lines from tanks
Reconnect lines to tanks
Verify if you have manually selected a tank by looking at tank regulator valve position.
Slowly open propane tank valve on tank selected
Go inside and turn on one stove burner and try listen/smell for propane flow
This may take a minute or so to purge air out of lines when you had tanks disconnected
Light stove... if lights propane issue resolved

Light in fridge.. may be burned out bulb or blown fuse in electrical control center. Check appropriate fuses.
Attempt to light fridge in propane mode... listen outside for indication of fridge light off

If furnace is not working does the fan spin up for 30 seconds or so and then stop?

If not stop at this step and troubleshoot DC power. Furnace will not work if fan won’t start first...

Did you for any reason turn the tank selector knob on the regulator at the propane tanks? If you did and did not do it slowly it can stop the flow of propane. The above recommendation for disconnecting it all then reconnecting and slowly turning the selector knob would be one of the first things to do....after determining that I couldn't ignite any of the stove burners.

We had 1 propane tank completely full and only 1/2 of other had been used. Reconnected tanks, turned everything slowly. Burners on stove won't light to clear lines. Nothing on refrigerator works. Checked batteries and leads. Yes the 30 second thing on furnace comes on then doesn't go on to make furnace work. Cleaned regulator. Checked all fuses in control panel. Still have the same problems.

Sounds like a bad changeover regulator on the propane line or some debris in the line somewhere. As for the fridge light that is due to low voltage, which could cause the other issues, burnt bulb or fuse, either way you may have 2 issues, LP & DC.

What, if anything can we do about DC issue other than take it to the shop?

Have you snugged up the hose connector to the tank good enough. A simple test is to leave the tank valve open and loosen the hose connector. You should hear a "pft" sound. That tells you the propane is leaving the tank into the system

Propane issues sounds like defective regulator at the tanks as stove should light because it don’t need DC to light.

Th furnace fan has power and is don’t what it should... it is attempting to light off but there is apparently no propane in the line.

If you have electrical trouble shooting skills you can look at circuit board on fridge to see if you have DC power to it using a meter.

If not gonna have to take somewhere to fix

It has been mentioned about the "regulator" between the two tanks... it may take a simple but firm rap on it with the handle of a butter knife, small hammer, etc. Nothing ventured - nothing gained!!!

Thanks ChuckS for the link. By changing the regulator, we got back the stove, water heater & furnace back. However, we do not have the fridge back. Do you know where the fuse is located on fridge?

One fuse in converter, depending on refer one fuse for 120volt and one fuse for 12 volt on board on back of refer

Check your fuse for the fridge. It might have blown, which would stop the light and the igniter from working. How to check fuses

Assuming: 1) you have good 12 vdc power and 2) nothing works on propane, including the stove; your main propane regulator may have died. Ours died up in the Yukon last summer and our 2016 Bullet 269RLS was only one year old at the time.
