Dometic 320 bowl seal.

Installed a new Dometic 320 beginnings of last season. Bowl seal refuses to hold water for more than five minutes. Water is going into black tank, so no leak at floor.

I’ve tried plumbers grease, hot water, boiling water, removing and reseating seal, even replaced seal with new one, Vaselined gasket and ball, no luck. Ball is smooth with no apparent defect, and moves smoothly, seal appears undamaged and intact, and snaps right into place. Is anyone aware of a way to increase or adjust pressure of ball to gasket/seal to create a better leakproof fit? Ready to try bearing grease next (lol)!

It may not be the seal placement on the bottom of the bowl. You may have a "weak flush valve foot pedal spring" that is not making the ball fully close against the full travel of the ball/seal. Try pulling up on the foot pedal after you flush to see if that might solve your problem. If it does, and if your toilet is only one season old, contact Dometic and explain the problem and the solution and they'll probably send you a new foot flush valve assembly.
