Water pump and water heater not working

Hi everyone. We recently purchased a 2005 Keystone Laredo 28rl. We have been living in it full time for work for a couple months. We have encountered a couple issues with our water pump and heater and cannot figure out what is going on.
First I’ll explain our pump issue. So we we made sure the valves were open, filled up fresh water tank, and turned on pump. We turned on all faucets for a while to get all the pressure out and waited and barely any water came out. Little while later, still very low water pressure and very little water. AND the water pump doesn’t shut off, ever. It stays running continuously even after we shut off water. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how do we fix this?! It’s driving me crazy.
Second is the water heater issue:
Our water heater is also not working when we’re using electric. The water just stays ice cold. We cannot figure out why. When we use propane, it works fine.

Thanks in advance for advice!

Your water pump is not shutting off either because you still have air in the line (the water tank takes 6 or 12 gallons to fill), a leak somewhere (could be the pump diaphragm leaking back into tank, if you have a "convenience center" the valve may not be in the proper position or defective), or is "sucking air" losing it's prime.

The water heater, if I had to guess most likely you had it "on" by the electric switch and burned out the element when the tank was empty. If it's a Suburban model there is a 'reset" push button under a Rubber cap that may have tripped if you're lucky.

Easy enough to verify water heater electric element. With shore power removed disconnect one lead on the heating element. Use multi meter and ohm out.. should read around 14 to 20 ohms...if it reads open then you know it’s shot

You can get a 120 volt AC heating element at most Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ace hard ware and replace.

Also - if you have a Suburban WH, check to make sure that the little rocker switch (mounted in the outside WH compartment) is in the on position. Down is on and op is off on this switch.
