Welcome to the forum. Sorry it has to be under these circumstances, but let’s see if we can get you going again.

The furnace does light, you get a flame for about 10 seconds and then the flame quits and the fan keeps running?

When mine had the same problem it was a faulty control board replaced under warranty in the listed RV. Some on here have mentioned the sail switch failed in their RVs and that can cause the same malfunction.

If the burner ignites, then the sail switch is working. If it wasn't, you would not get gas ignition. It is either the control board or the electrode not sensing a flame and shutting down the process because it thinks there was not ignition.

That’s what I’m thinking.

I had the same issue with my Atwood furnace, light, run for a bit, go off, rinse lather repeat.

It was the control board, which had gotten wet due to a manufacturing screw up, the person that roto-zipped the hole in the side wall for the outdoor electrical outlet also root-zipped through the drain line for the kitchen sink and the dealer did not catch it during the PDI.

My dealer sent me a new control board, over night (trailer was brand new) and I installed it myself, it is not that bad of a job.

You can check the sail switch with a VOM. Meter both sides when fan is running, it should be 12V to ground once the fan is up to speed in a couple of seconds. Sounds more like a gas supply issue or a failed board. Check the LED on tyhe board to see what it says. If you replace the board get the Dinosaur brand, they make NASA parts

I had a similar issue on my 2018 Cougar 367FLS in May. I pulled off access panel to the heater. Removed exhaust pipe and expose control board. Control board has two wires connected. At the advice of my local RV tech I unplugged both wire and waiting 30 seconds. I plugged them back in and this basically rebooted the control board. Reinstalled exhaust pipe(it would not ignite without exhaust pipe in place). All worked good after that.

I would try to clean the flame sense rod before condemning the control board unless you have a way to test milliamps DC.

Here is the thing!!! If you run out of gas then you may still have gas in the bottle so you can still cook but the furnace won't work. I have had this happen a couple times.
What i do is go to the full bottle of gas and open the valve then go to the switch bottle valve and switch to the full bottle. Then I close the empty bottle. If you dont do it this way you will run out of gas and the furnace will do this for a while till you get it to light. If you didn't do this than you need to light the stove and let it burn for a few minuets then the furnace should light. Light the water heater and if it lights than you may have enough gas pressure to light the furnace. Don't try to light the water heater while trying to light the furnace. If the water heater lights than turn it off and light the furnace. If this doesn't work than it may be something more serious.

Actually operating the stove, water heater and furnace on LP at the same time is a quick down and dirty way to test the regulator. If you have access to a manometer, you can tap into the gas valve at the water heater or fridge and actually measure the flow.

Call Atwood. They gave me a list of authorized mobile techs when I was on the road. I paid the service call and they paid the rest. Take it to your dealer and wait weeks???
