Cougar fifthwheel Bumper Problem

Hello, I saw this forum when I Googled problems with cougar bumpers. I found a post from someone that had the exact same problem as I had with the bumper tearing off the frame after mounting a bike. I think the metal of the four inch square tube is just too thin to support any weight other that the spare tire. I think his was a 2011 and mine is a 2012. I noticed mine has some additional brackets welded on to help with the support that his didn't have, but it still failed the same way.
My rig is a 2012 Cougar 27RKS with a 2012 Ram 2500 diesel. I've been RVing since the late 70's and have never had a problem with the bumper falling off before.
