Met the man JRTJH

Better known as John, site team member.

Headed up to the Upper Pennisula of Michigan for 5 days and figured i would met up with John and his wife Terry. Had a great time and good to put a face with a forum member. Great guy, enjoyed our chat John.

I've had several conversations with John, and I'm glad someone else can confirm what I already knew.

The man, the myth, the legend. I guess some day I will have to head up that way since it doesn't seem like he ever heads east.

It was nice meeting Tom, his DW (Debbie) and their friends at the "WalMart Campground" last night. We enjoyed the chat and hope you have safe travels to the UP. Quite the weather for a UP camping trip, you'll definitely need to find a good local source for firewood !!!

Oh, and that Hideout, you're doing an excellent job of keeping it shiny and new looking !!!

Here's hoping the weather holds and you have a relaxing time in "da UP"...

Thanks for the post! It's great to see forum folks get together and also great to put a face on John "JRTJH". Jackets in August; nice. Had to put on a jacket the other morning to go to breakfast here in Pagosa Springs. Nice change from sweating from the minute you open the door in W TX.........

It's not quite as bad as it sounds, but it is typically "chilly" around these parts. Tom was saying that it was 83 when they left SE Michigan yesterday. When we were standing there at the WalMart Campground it was about 50. The UP is forecast for highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's all week. Clear to partly cloudy with no rain until mid week next week. We're planning on a quick trip back to Brevort Lake to try to finish the trip that was rained out a couple weeks ago.

And YES, we'll have coats, lots of firewood and "long jammies" since it's a dry camping campground.....
