Holding tanks read empty when full

Holding tanks read empty when full, and how can I get to the holding tanks with the Polar Package bottom?

They probably didn't hook them up. Mine were not connected. Keystone craftsmanship.

FYI, the OP, in a previous post stated that he just purchased a 2010 Cougar 278RKS. With 7 years since it left the factory, maybe it's a bit premature to blame his tank display unit failure on Keystone craftsmanship??

May have come disconnected. You can start removing rivets/screws or you can cut a 3 sided flap in the covering if you know the right area to expose.

John, your RV has been in service for seven or eight years. I'm betting the odds are about 50-50 that the sensors simply are hung up inside and haven't worked since way back in the day. The tank sensors in these units are famous for failure and hangups. If you do cut the three sided flap like Chip suggested clean the surface and then seal it back with black Gorilla tape.

Scrim tape works better on the coroplast.

Common issue is for the ground to corrode with age. They are all grounded to the frame and probably the same wire. It will be white, just locate one set of tank sensors, and then jumper the white wire to a good ground and I bet they start working.

Sorry about that JRTJH, I don't see anything in this thread mentioning how long he had the unit.

I removed the "polar bottom"
I found that mice had eaten some wiring.
Rewired and problem solved.
Thanks for the help
