Have question?
I've wondered & been asked "why do the majority of rvers have multiple dogs"? And why most of those that do have BIG dogs? Very few have only 1 & like gearhead & I even fewer have none. This has been discussed around happy hour at about every place we've ever parked.
Don't get me wrong, we've had pets forever, but when we decided to go fulltime we thought it was better to be petless. If we decided to leave the rv for day or 2 there was no need for a petsitter or kennel. And if gone for the day & pets NOT welcome where we go don't have rush back to let the dog out.
Inquiring minds want to know!!

Have asked that same question and I was told one keeps the other company.
Having one Jack Russell is the same as having four.

^^I've heard that about Jack Russells.
I don't have anything against dogs themselves. Their owners....that's a different story. A poorly trained, or not trained, dog is a poor reflection on the owner and a pest. I have neighbors that have spent zero time training. My son on the other hand, has 2 dogs, a black mouth cur and a rescue shepherd of some type. Both fairly well behaved and follow commands. Both outside dogs. But inside dogs....ehh I'm not much on hair all over the house.
My biggest peeve about people and dogs, and I see it on TV all the time...is people letting dogs lick them on their mouth. Talk about a germ factory...we all know where those dogs been licking.

Here is our little "big guy"....Volentino Rossi....or just Rossi for short. He is named after the world famous MotoGP rider.....Valentino Rossi. We went with the "Vol" instead of "Val" because being from TN...we are the Volunteer state. The thing in common between Vol and Val is that they are both faster than a bolt of lightening. He is a purebred Toy Manchester Terrier...or Manchester Terrorist....whichever applies. He's pretty vicious.....he'll lick you to death!

Here's Patches the doxie at the age of fourteen...and at the peak of his daily activity! While he enjoyed his sojourn on earth he visited 49 states and all of the Canadian provinces except Nunavut. Patches probably logged 20K miles in the sidecar with DW. He crossed over the rainbow bridge about 5 weeks ago, but he had a wonderful run. As you can see, he went full speed all the time...

Very sad to hear Jim. Patches was a "one in a million" compadre who I'm sure put infinite smile's on people's faces over the course of those 14 years. 49 states is impressive. I'm sorry for your loss.

Our Boston, Raven, turns 13 in January and has a travel log a "mile long" too. No where near 49 states but probably half that. Unbeknownst to him, he pooped in the center of Times Square in NYC, swam in the Reflecting Pool in front of the Capital building in DC (security chased him out), walked the aircraft aisle way in-flight to Arizona (flight attendant not happy), frolicked in both border oceans in the lower 48, kissed the head of donkeys in Custer State Park, braved the cold and elevation at the summit of Pike's Peak, and tracked bear in the dense forestry of the Sequoias. The stories behind each are even better. Nothing like a 4 legged friend who has the energy to do it all with his biggest objective in life is to keep his human happy.

Thanks for sharing.
