Hot Water Heater Problem

I have the unit that has gas and electric (GC6AA-10E comes on briefly and shuts down. I flipped the interior switches that says gas and electric and they stay on. When you turn the hot water on it runs hot for a few seconds then its cold. Any ideas?

Is the bypass valve closed?

A little more info would be helpful. What are the circumstances? Camping, set up, etc. Did it just happen after it had been working? Did it just not come on when you tried to use it? Is it full of water? Has that been verified? Is the bypass off/on? Year/make of trailer? Lots of info that would help others help you.

I have the same water heater. The two lights in that you switch on will stay on whether the heater is working or not. Hopefully you have water in it.
