My experience with the CIPAs was that if you have painted caps, go to Lowes or HD and get some more felt pads. Over time, they will scratch the paint on the caps. Other than that, mine did great for years.

Now that the Laurel Oaks have finished dropping there leafs, pollinating and exhibiting there new foliage, we washed the roof and side walls. FYI they pollinate for about 2 weeks and everything underneath is covered with a thin layer of sticky green. The rest of the year they provide great shade. The tree on the left and the one on the right side are at least 70 feet wide.

Wow! only 4 weeks left before breaking camp and heading north to see spring all over again.

Ordered a set of Goodyear Endurance tires for our Bullet today. Figured 3 years with the Trailer Kings was enough gambling for me.

Picked it up after Pro Tech RV performed miracles. Added an outside storage door under the dinette seat and vented the range hood. They installed Lippert Correct Track, while it was there.

Maxxis M8008 with TST 507 TPMS

Changed out the China Bombs (Trailer Kings) for the Maxxis M8008 today!!! Upgraded from LRD to LRE. Ordered on Ebay for $110 each shipped to my door. Tipped "the kid" at my local tire shop $30 for mounting, metal valve stems, and balancing. I have been doing business with this tire shop for decades so NO other charges!

Where to place jack seems to be the $64,000 question...under frame (risk damage to coraplast), under axle (risk damage to axle), under U-bolts on axle (too difficult to access). So I just avoided the jack all together. Used my leveling blocks that I made for my previous TT that had the wide-offset axles.

Pull driver-side front tire on ramp to lift back tire off ground. Remove back tire and replace with spare. Back up and move ramp behind spare. Back spare onto ramp to lift front tire off ground and remove front tire. Take to tire shop for change-over to M8008s. Install on TT reversing process. Repeat for passenger side!

Installed the TST 507 anti-theft TPMS as well...works perfectly with no repeater.

Feels good to get that done in prep for the trip south in a couple weeks!!!

Regards,
Mike

I know some folks do replace the spare. But since my TT is only 6 months old, I chose not too. So the spare is still an unused Trailer King. My rationale is that if I were to have an issue I would seek a quality replacement for the problematic tire ASAP. All five tires are same size.

I put white ones on our black trimmed trailer too, figured the black would be hot in the summer.

Productive day!
I did the Pbtman table mod today. Added a magnetic catch for the new compartment door. And, I changed out all the compartment locks and had the doors cylinders re-keyed.

Before there was no room to slide into the table:

Removed the poles and roughed up the carpet a bit to get rid of these marks:

Yesterday, a great day

I watched 8 inches of heavy, soggy snow settle on the 5er. But with that said, I was able to install the battery and run the power line on Tuesday when it was 65. On Wednesday, when it was only 55, my DW and I measured up the inside stairs for a railing which will be a 3 loop, 33 inch teak marine piece. And to top yesterday's fun off, I 'blew' the snowblower auger drive gear.

Mods, alterations and general dilly-dally in the last two weeks:
* Removed kick panel in lower pantry to use as access for cat box.
* Found that older x style chocks work well with new rig.
* Double-wide tire covers because Mama said she wanted them versus the old single tire covers. (Don't argue with Mama! )
* Lubricated fifth wheel hitch, slider and puck adapter.
* Covered both love seat/beds with protectors from the Walmart.
* Established an extension cord to Mama's side of the bed for charging the phone/pad only to find out that she doesn't want it now that she has thought about it. (Don't argue with Mama! )
* Moved one bar stool to closet only to move it back to the bar. (Don't argue with Mama! )

Funny thing: I rule when it comes to the trailer LOL. I tow it, I set it up, close it up. I cook, I clean...

She rules the S&B.

It's the same with us. I "rule the trailer" she "rules the S&B". That said, it's clearly understood that she has veto power in all situations and in all locations......

The water pump in my 250URS was originally installed in a ludicrous location. It is so far from the access hole, there is literally no way to reach it. Because I made the kick panel on the sofa removable, you could just barely reach it laying down with your arm fully extended.

Removed the sofa and panel.

Moved the pump out and relocated all the piping.

Now I can reach the pump, strainer and winterizing hose valve.

Endurance arrive at the local tire shop; so I hooked up and had the new shoes put on. Got to look at the tires before they where mount and really like the heft and thickness of the rubber. Dates on all where 0318. Got to be better than the TK`s.
