That looks nice. But how do you keep them in place?

Being steel, they are much heavier than the aluminum ones. They also are deeper, having actual louvers, not just nearly flat surface plates like the originals. I haven't taken them on the road yet, but I doubt they will pop up. If I had to drill them for screws like the original ones, I could do that.

There are three of them in my rig, and only one of them is avoidable. One is in the foot-wide alley between the foot of the bed and the bedroom wall, where you have no choice but to step on it to round the corner; and the other is practically right on the threshold of the bathroom, same deal.

These are from Signature Hardware. I have a guest rental doublewide where two of the floor registers are in high traffic areas, one of them actually being under the leg of a dining room chair! I replaced the original beat-up registers with steel ones from Signature about seven years ago, and I've been 100% happy with them.

Be careful with the steel vents. On our trailer they work well EXCEPT for the vent closest to the furnace. The air coming out of that vent is hot (not just warm or tepid) and after the furnace runs for several minutes, the steel vent gets hot enough to burn the "tender feet of my grandkids"... So, be sure to check how hot they get in your trailer. The ones "distant from the furnace" should not be an issue, but "right in front of the furnace, 3' away".... It might be an issue.....

I have to watch that one in any event, lest the throw rug cover it. Luckily, the throw rug is large and heavy and doesn't move much, especially under the weight of two retrievers. This may be one of those rare cases where neuropathy is my friend.

Since we bought the camper at the beginning of October I didn’t think I’d get a chance at a proper wash and wax. Got lucky with weather being high 40’s so got the truck and camper washers and waxed.
Also got the slide seals conditioned and FreshCab distributed.

Washed (de-sapped, de-bugged) the front cap (that's all I could get done all day, and even so it isn't quite complete). Can't figure out how to clean off a mystery scuff.

I added a sliding drawer to the basement on my 5th Wheel.

Did a few things yesterday... drilled 1/8" holes in my black and gray tank dump valves and filled them with silicon lube in homes of getting them to work a bit more easily. I took my camper over to Paco's Tire shop in Castroville and had him mount four new Carlisle Radial HD tires. Date code 1319. Old ones were from 2014 and still looked almost new. Changed a marker lamp lense that got missing from some plant form.

Still have a few things on my plate. Lube bearings, change out battery and relocate sound bar. Sound bar is now behind the TV and audio is thus not what it should be. Going to relocate below the TV so audio isn't masked and hopefully the remote will work better. Now have to actually get up and near the soundbar sometimes as the remote is lame.

Built my office area in bedroom, added tool storage rack system from DeWalt, installed washer and dryer.

I was able to finally redo my a/c ducts, the black ring on the vent cover some of them don't come all the way up to the foam duct therefore losing cold air.

Now the one in the bedroom is a big mess and I was able to get a few pics to show you that the divider that divide the cold from the inlet air is off and is not center like it suppose to be.

In the end you will have mix air coming inside and you don't want warm air you want cold air coming in the bedroom. This will be fit next time I go out to the 5th wheel.

-Cleaned and re-Dicor'ed the roof penetrations before the weather hits. Radio antenna has always been up. Though its got a spring base, it still pulled the screws out of the luan roof. I drilled more holes in the base for more screws attached securely, added Dicor, then adjusted the antenna to lay almost flat on the roof.
-I also found the front cap to roof joint was seeming to come apart. The fiberglass cap is riveted on not screwed- not sure if its just attached to one of the paper thin trusses or if that truss is any stronger. I removed the Dicor and added many screws and now its solid. Backfilled with Dicor.
-A note- I have tried a couple of other self leveling RV roof sealants and none of them layed down like Dicor, and even in cooler weather.

I did a lot of reading and liked the Westinghouse 4500 with remote start. I found one and put it in my Amazon cart. I wanted to check pricing one more place before pulling the trigger. That night, PG&E announced it would be shutting off power for wildfire safety in the coming days (Kalifornistan). The next morning I went to buy and the price had gone up $75 overnight. Buh-bye Amazon.

The WEN was my number 2 pick but I ended up getting it on Walmarts site for way cheaper, plus saved another $25 for picking it up at a store.

My buddy bought this gen a year ago and its been great.

Installed some "wall hooks" (naked shelf brackets) in the passthru to keep all the "long and skinny" stuff off the floor and out of the way. Our rolled-up outdoor mud mat tucks nicely underneath.

Finally got around to making my stand for the 200w solar panel kit. I did not want these on the roof. When we camp, its usually in the summer and I purposely park in the shade. I also did not want a bulky pvc, angle iron or wood stand.

I found a good camera tripod at the thrift store and cut it apart. Added some hinges, latches, and a door flush bolt to keep it from folding up when opened. Works pretty good and easy enough to move around to chase the sun throughout the day. 3 individual adjustable legs means I can adjust for uneven terrain. Folds up nice and flat for travel, though is much heavier now that I'm carrying both at once.

The 200w kit seems to hold our batteries just fine for a few day trip even at the coast with sporadic sunshine. That said we are pretty miserly with our battery usage.
