As we were getting ready to migrate back North for the summer, DW said something is wrong with the bed. The bed has two hinges for the lift up storage area under the bed. The lift up section is 1/2" +/- plywood, and the hinge screws pulled out on one hinge. So I had to rally around and find screws, washers, and nylock nuts for a lasting fix. Which I did on both hinges. Chris

We went on an overnight to shop for a trailer upgrade. On that trip we discovered our trailer has ants and possibly a roof leak

This is like crack for ants. You need to let them swarm it and take the food home. They won't be back.

Finally starting to get some nice weather. Went out and cleaned the TT and checked for critters - none to be found. Washed all the bedding and started stocking the staples that stay in all year. Taking the Beast out in a week. Yippee!

What did you do to your RV today?

Got tired of the slider popping out of the track on the screen door so added an aluminum bar to hold it dimensionally and act as a slide handle on the outside.

Thursday I washed the roof, rinsed ac coil, inspected all caulking, cleaned tops of slides.
Friday I cleaned all mouse dropping from three areas they inhabited, took all kitchen ware inside and washed, cover off mattress washed and dried. De-winterized all plumbing but hot water tank, repaired dinette bench (factory install was off and preventing table top to lay flat in bed mode), installed Oxygenics shower head and faucet in brushed nickle, removed electrical panel to look at EMS location site, needs more thought on placement.
Made a parts list for Saturday shopping to finish dinette bike rack, and a box to install battery disconnect in. More to come.

I’m a little late posting but last week, I pulled apart a Winegard Trav’ler(out of warranty) turret and located and replaced a failed jumper cable causing the dreaded “No LNB Voltage” error message. There are many possible reasons for this error but I had exhausted all the usually suspects(LNB, sheathed LNB-C port cable). This little guy turned out to be the culprit.

Edit: The copper center conductor had opened.

Cut the memory foam to size for mattress, stuffed 3 bags of steel wool into many orifices.
Took out no name tv and put in a 40" Samsung. Fired up furnace and got water heater going, both good. Installed EMS, while watching Wolverine Unleashed from an external hard drive. Bought new propane tank with gauge from costco. I might even be done for Friday's first outing.

Installed insect screens on all of my vents, then God brought 3in rain to wash off the RV. Easy day.

Was this plug and play to the new Samsung or do you have a different head unit to play through? Not a tech guy so always trying to learn.
Thanks!

Regular HD Samsung TV, I have a chromecast dongle and I can use my phone to cast youtube/ Netflix/ Prime directly to TV using wifi. You can plug in a wii (Or other gaming) system, external hard drives, flash drives all directly into TV. I dislike my IRV head unit. I was looking at products to replace it, I already had the TV and it does more, better. After all it's a Samsung.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware you could just plug in a HDD to the USB port.

The tv needs to support it and the files on the HDD have to be in a format compatible with the tv. Fyi.

Can you use the chromecast away from your home network? So if I had some movies on my tablet, can I watch them?

I have done it with a Firestick in the trailer without a WiFi network.
