Blade ceiling vents (again)

I've seen a couple posts about the Blade vents which haven't resolved the question about a replacement with directional louvered vents.

We full time and travel in a 2022 Cougar 290RLS and really like the unit.

I sit in the theater seats, I get one chair, my two dachshunds get the other while my wife has the couch.

No matter how I've adjusted the blade vents I am always warm in the theater seats and at the dinette where I work.

I am hoping there is a directional louvered vent someone know of? Our unit has two 13,500 A/C units and today in MN when it was 95 the main area couldn't get below 79.

Thanks in advance.

What do your vents look like? Round, about 4" across, rotate stiffly as a unit? I've seen the louvered version linked out to from here several times recently.

I haven’t found a replacement, I just took a few out completely. We have a 3791RD with a 13,500 ac in the front and 15,000 in the rear elevated living area. No matter how I adjust the blades, the kitchen/dining area is significantly warmer. So I took out the two that are just before the step up to the rear living area. I also added a small fan at the back to blow forward. These two changes have given me a more balanced temperature.

Don't recall but we've discussed the blade outlets and their limitations. I haven't looked back but also remember that they can be replaced with adjustable louvers...which is what I would do. I replaced many in my RV with adjustable vents (OE was not blade) and believe the same ones would fit without much modification. Thinking the hole was 4.5"?? In any event I would be installing some vents that worked for me.

Hm. It may be worth your effort to start by inspecting the duct entrances inside the central unit. Most of them are hastily taped up, many are poorly framed. Often you can improve your cooling greatly by removing a bad factory tape job and replacing it with one that both seals off all air leaks other than the duct entrances, and leaves the entire duct entrance widely open. Do the same at the vent exits, they are also prone to leaks back into the ceiling from bad taping.

Mine are round and approx 7.125 OD on the mounting piece and 6.875 on the insert.

I'd be very interested in seeing what you did and how you connected the fans.
