22 RBS is home!

Brought our new 22RBS home yesterday. Dealer swapped the WDH hitch, installed a couple of covers on the roof, then pulled the 21RBS and the 22RBS up together so my friend Jim and I could transfer all the treasures.

Bummer - Trailer King tires on the new one. Will need to deal with that.

There are some nice upgrades. The front window that somebody was sure would blind oncoming traffic lets lots of extra light in the cabin for daytime. The shower has been made a bit more comfortable by rounding out the door. Nice stove cover, and two piece sink cover. Sturdy looking rear bumper hitch. Ladder at the rear. 30 lb propane tanks. More room between propane tanks and front wall making it much easier to install a nice big battery box for two batteries. All four corner stabilizers are electric. IN-Command looks interesting...

The 22RBS dry weight lists at approx. 300 lbs. heavier (5500lbs.) than the 21RBS. Note to those who claim they pull XYZ model of trailer and "never know it's behind" - BS. We have a 2015 F150, springed up and lots of hp, and with WDH.

Now I am about to install the batteries, and tinker here and there. I need to play with the In-Command a bit. Here goes!

Congratulations! We are picking up our Cougar 27RESWE as soon as we can get out from underneath this snow.
Let us know how that In-Command system works.

We have the 26RBSWE with the iN-Command and we've been quite happy with it. Only a couple trips so far though, so it may be too soon to tell.

I really like being able to extend the awning or slide from my phone while standing outside where I can see it.

I also like being able to adjust the HVAC from the phone while in bed

Battery box in place, batteries installed. Just need to clean up the wiring a bit, plus wire in a lead for the macerator.

That's a nice trailer. I've got a 2018 22RBS and have done a lot of mods and been in the underbelly to clean things up. Look at some of my previous posts to see what's underneath. Enjoy!

The IN-Command is, well, interesting. I have it paired BT to the DC, but am having some difficulty with Global Connect. The manuals, both paper and online always seem to assume that the user was in on the software programming. I am not entirely digital unaware, so I am thinking a little persistence will get this working. Maybe.
