Love seat / dinette

The dinette is too small and the love seat doesn't recline. Has anyone removed both of these and started from scratch.

Can't tell from your description what's built-in and what's just a piece of furniture sitting there. Perhaps a pic or two might help.

If you search around here, you'll that someone has done pretty much anything you can imagine to the interior of their unit. Lot's of pic, descriptions, advice and more to be found. Plenty of furniture swaps and cabinetry modifications for the looking.

With furniture, sometimes getting the old piece out and the new piece in can be a challenge. RV entry doors and passage ways are not generally as wide as one might like. More than once, I have been convinced that the manufacturer set the furniture in the trailer before they finished building the outside walls.

If it's built-in and it connects to an outside wall, beware! Not all of the RV cabinetry is fastened to the trailer from the inside. Many times, there will be several screws inserted from the outside, through a stud or panel and into the cabinet. Obviously, this is done before the skin is applied to the outside. If you find this, you'll need one of those blade holders for hacksaw blades that allows you to slip just the blade into a tight space and carefully saw through the screw or whatever. That will require some ingenuity to protect the wall that is not being removed. Otherwise, you'll have some saw blade tracks to contend with where you don't want them.
