Bed Room Slide Laredo 325RL
Let the adventures begin! We picked up our new Laredo 325RL yesterday. The PDI went well and the 150 mile trip to home went extremely well, it towed much better and easier than the trade in. The Curt E-16 slider hitch we installed earlier in the week preformed as expected. A little clunking on startups but overall an acceptable hitch. I doubt we will ever have to use the slider feature as you can turn rather sharp before a hit will occur.
When we arrived home everyone wanted to see it so we started to open everything up. When we got to the bedroom slide it went out but left the bed behind!!! Enough show and tell for the day.
This morning the wife and I decided to do a thorough investigation before deciding on who to call Monday. The wife is a Carpenters daughter and I have built a house or four. What we found were the screws holding the bed frame to the slide floor were too short (didn't penetrate the floor) and the 2 screws attaching the bed frame to the slide wall had pulled out. We squared and centered everything up and using appropriate fasteners put it back together. It now works great, better and stronger than the sloppy factory work. We are all smiles now.
The next challenge is figuring out the leveling system without dropping the unit on the truck.

First, welcome to the forum. We're happy to have you as a new member and hope you find answers here that help you enjoy your RV.
You mentioned in your review of the problems with your bed that "the screws didn't penetrate the slide floor". Keep in mind that the bottom of the slide floor moves back and forth across the rubber wiper seals and anything that penetrates the floor and is sharp will cut those wipers making them less effective at sealing the bottom of the slide against water and air infiltration.
You might want to double check your repair to make sure the screws that you installed aren't going to cause you any problems later on.
Again, glad to have you as a member !!!

Glad to see you got the 5ver home safely. Don't know if the bed is attached to the slide wall similar to the 318SAB we used to own but if you go to the 318SAB owners group on this site there are photos of the mod I and others did to solve this inherent problem. Your attaching method may be different. Good luck and enjoy.

What I meant was they did not enter the plywood, heck they were 2" screws in 2 x 2 framing.

Still better than the guy that bought a brand new fifth wheel Reflection by Grand design. Got it home and the entire rear wall fell out. I'll get the pic and post it tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to seeing that one. Maybe I'll cross the GD off my list.

WoW!!! That is not a cheap 5er either. Hearing all the little things that go wrong and some of the bigger ones I'm thinking real hard. My wife, dog, and I spend 120 - 175 days traveling with our 5er. We have a 2016 Cougar that only had to have Atwood send a mobile tech once for the furnace and Keystone to replace a fender skirt. Talked about a new one but thinking what I have may be better.

Maybe it was the prototype of their new "phantom toy hauler" ???? Hmmmm GD just needs to get the latches on the rear ramp working properly...
Or maybe they're 751 keys ???

Buying a new rig is always extremely exciting "and" extremely nerve wracking. We just put a down payment on a 2017 Laredo 289srl. We'll be picking it up early May and are extremely excited. I'm also a bit nervous because there always seems to be something missed by the factory. Hopefully everything comes out great.
On another note...can't wait to see the pick of the Reflection with the removable rear wall.

Hey, Bob!! Looks like we're going to need a couple of extra tubes of silicone over here.
