New Carbon 417, any input?

We just purchased a new 2017 Carbon 417, waiting for a Superglide hitch to be delivered here in Alaska so haven't had an opportunity to find out about any peculiarities.

Anyone have any experiences, good, bad or ugly with these units? A little late for buyer remorse, but good to hear from others.

Thanks!

someone posted a similar query a couple weeks ago. I was the only one who responded, but if you want to read it, here's a link:

oh, one thing I forgot to mention in that post was the 50 amp receptacle was mounted 90 degrees off, so I corrected that myself.

Thanks Matt, I saw your thread reply about the 357.

Oddly enough my receptacle is off 90 degrees as well! I haven't gone out to look into turning it yet.

It's easy to rotate it, but they don't leave you any slack to work with, I was a bit worried about mine for a while.

I purchased a Carbon 349 about six months ago. A little similar to yours. I have done a number of mods. Here is my first link...

Thanks for the ideas.

Matt, I rotated my receptacle as well, what were they thinking? I suspect the weight of the 50-A cord would damage it in short time.

Ksneft, some great mods you made, I'll incorporate them in my 417 when I have time. Shame is we got this unit so late in the season not much time left here in Alaska to do mods. And....it won't fit in my home garage....

I'd seen photos of a TV install similar to yours, curious if the built in DVD/TV combos are thin enough to use, and what the quality is.

Thanks to everyone, Larry
