Laundry chute?
We just purchased a Keystone Passport 2670 and really like it. But we had looked at a Bullet and I loved the laundry chute leading to pass-through in the bedroom (it was through a box on the left side). Has anyone made this modification to the Passport, and if so, can you share how?

Have the chute also. The passthrough is small enough as it is so no more laundry chute. Needed the storage more. JMO

My premier has the chute, but it just dumps into the front pass through as well. I much prefer to keep more items easily accessible by utilizing the entire width of the pass through. So I have never used the chute.

Our Copper Canyon has a laundy chute, but found having an opening does let a lot of unconditioned air into the unit. So sealed the hole and enjoy the extra storage.

I have a chute and use it all the time. After 3 years of ownership my Cougar still has 20% of it's internal storage space empty (just 2 of us) so loosing the pass through space wasn't a big deal for us. I did go with a smaller, almost rubber-like square laundry basket which is plenty big for a weekend.
As long as you have an area large enough for the chute door it should be easy enough to make one. Most trailers don't even use a hinge, they use the carpet as a hinge.

We used ours for the first time this past weekend and absolutely loved having it. We used a small pop-up style laundry basket, so it doesn't take up any space while traveling to the site. Once there items were removed from the passthrough for setting up camp, so at that point, there is room for the basket. It was nice having the laundry basket out of the living space since there is no good place to put one.

The laundry basket is always in the way, so we just closed up the hole to make a shallow storage place. Also removed the enclosure around the bed and just placed a clothes basket under there for laundry. Much easier to use and no longer in the way all the time.

We had one and got rid of it when I removed the floor carpet.

This ^
We have never used ours and I am tempted to close it up as well or at least put some kind of weather strip around it.

Laundry chute
Never really used it in our 291RLS. The front closet was large enough for a dirty clothes basket, so it didn't really seem to make sense, at least for us.

Like I said we like and use ours and would want to have one in our next camper unless there was room for a basket inside somewhere. It's just personal preference.

Glad you like yours, my comment was based on the number of replies to the contrary. Personally, we use a mesh bag in the bath tube and set it on the floor when using the shower. I could easily cut a hole and make a laundry chute but don't want to infringe on the forward storage space or create another path for unconditioned air into the living space. To each is own.

I am curious to understand what people mean about unconditioned air? My chute goes into the front pass through which has closed doors on it. The chute itself is a plywood door which sits on a wood frame for support and is covered with carpet. I'm not sure what cold or hot air is readily making it's way in....certainly no more than the water pump compartment on the other side of the bed. I haven't noticed any and I've camped at 100° and 25°.
There must be a wide range of implementations for this.

Love It!
We have the large Bullet and right beside the bed is the shut - Put Velcro on the laundry basket - holds in place nicely, and still have plenty of room in the storage.

We are currently living in our Bullet 30REPR full time, we use the laundry chute all the time and love it. There are 3 of us and we keep a large basket in there. We pull it out and take it to the place to have it done.
We like it because it keeps the laundry out of the inside, saves space inside and keeps things neat. Then, I just go outside and pull the basket and stick it in the car. I don't have to drag it through the hall and front door.
BTW, I insulated the pass through on ours. I used 1in foil backed rigid foam. In the winter we kept getting moisture under the mattress due to the huge temperature difference between the unheated pass through and the insides.
For us it works, we are parked in the same space all the time, have been for 9 months. I keep the things I want to get at near the outside of the pass through, things I don't need in the middle.
But keep in mind, my power cord, sewer hose, etc are all being used and not stored.
