RV has been idle for a year and a half -Recomendations for re-use

It has been at least a year and a half since we last used our 2013 Laredo 266RL
Our son was diagnosed with Leukemia and had to go through a bone-marrow transplant . Now that He is on the mend my Wife would like to take some short trips with our 5th wheel (only been out 7 times since new ) Is there a detailed list of things I need to do prior to getting it back out on the road and in full operating condition . Thank you - Todd Miller

I would say some important things to do or check would be:

1. tire condition and proper pressures...if they are dry or cracked you might want to replace them

2. wheel bearings should be properly greased

3. check brakes

4. check all your running lights

5. fill the holding tank with water and run through all fixtures to check for leaks...assuming you have properly winterized in the past

6. grease your slideout running gear and run in and out a few times

7. run your fridge and leave on for a few days to check cooling

Welcome back to camping and ENJOY!

Probably wouldn't hurt to run through most of a PDI.

1.5 years isn't bad on a newer rv like yours, you shouldn't find too much wrong with it. As mentioned before, tires are probably the most important thing to look at. After 1.5 years with weight sitting on the same portion of the sudewall I'd probably replace them. Then just run through all of the typical maintenance items like wheel bearings, slides, wiring/lights, all of the plumbing, and of course check that all appliances are working, a/c, furnace, frige, microwave, hot water heater, stove etc. If your batteries weren't pulled at put on a tender, they may be bad as well. Be sure to check all of your vents and exhaust ports (furnace, frige, hot water heater, stove) to make sure you don't have any nests built that could cause problems.
