Perfect waterfront campsite!
When I saw this I thought that it would be the perfect waterfront campsite.
Then I wondered if it was a back-in or a pull-through??

is that a ferry or just a work barge with living quarters?
Riding a little low in the water for me. As long as we not in the Bering Sea we might be OK.

It was a work barge coming out of Venice inlet in Florida. I am not sure I would trust the few ropes thrown over the roof if the Gulf was any more choppy.

Secluded site, no noisy neighbors, walking distance to gulf swimming and fishing, free dolphin and manatee tours daily, great views of gulf beaches, make reservations early, fills up fast. (All amenities are weather permitting)

Nobody has commented on the name painted on the pilot house.... Hmmmmm maybe it's not a "camper" but a "recreational vehicle"

HOWEVER.....
Years ago, there were a couple of companies around the Kentucky/Tennessee area that were renting barges for people to drive their RV onto and cruise the lakes (sort of houseboat style). As I recall, they had a HUGE water tank, holding tanks, built in generator and an "indoor" pilot house on the front of the barge. We never had enough money, time or interest in renting one, but I've wondered a few times what it would be like to have my RV on a barge and cruise without the conventional campground to limit where we spent the night.....
