Window Shopping GASP!

Saw a 2017 Sprinter 269FWRLS for sale at a dealer up in N. TX. This is on Craigslist. Found the dealer website: Says YOU ARE APPROVED. $815 per month plus tax & title for 72 MONTHS with $8000 down payment. To my dim brain, this is $70K total (APR is 20 percent). JD Power says average retail $28.2K. Of course, I would pay cash or wouldn't buy it but how can a dealer sell these things at that astronomical inflated price? It is a nice trailer but 7 years old and I already have an old trailer...

A loan calculator indicates the the monthly payment should be $480 at 20 percent for 72 months. I wonder how much they want for this trailer? The loan calculator says $34K PLUS the $8K down payment $42K for a $28K trailer?

Seven years ago the DEALER list price on this thing was MSRP $48,143 MSRP + Destination. Take 25-30% off that and it sold for about $36,000 unless the buyer was a little naive. Now it has increased in worth? Uh huh....
