Question dimmer switch

Good evening trying to install a dimmer switch in my slide. Got it install but it dims OK but does not go to full brightness.What up with that???
2017 sprinter campfire the wire in the wall are two white together and two separate green and white stripe wires. One green and white is hot.

The dimmer has two white and two black they are mark in and out

Most 12 V dimmers work with the ground side of the circuit. These are the ones I used last August in our Laredo.

The dimmer only needs the ground side and 12V in and ground out to the light(s). The 12V in and 12V out is bused together, so you can just T off the 12V line to either 12V in or 12V out. Or you can open the 12V lead and route it in and then out. Chris

Dimmer switch has four wires 2 out black and white 2 in black and white did not work like you posted any other idea!!!

Are you trying to dim an LED fixture? The LED fixture may not be a dimmable one!
