Smile Water pump in 22RBS

Any idea where the water pump is located in my 2019 22rbs? I’d rather not start searching behind walls, etc if I don’t need to!

When you turn it on can you not hear it? I've never had one I couldn't hear and go right to the general vicinity. Looking at your floorplan I would think it's probably at the rear somewhere near the bathroom? Maybe under the sink?

It's in the cubby on the left side of the bed. The top of the cubby lifts up and is hinged by the carpet. Mine is hinged on the front so you have to lift up the foot of the bed to allow it to clear the edge of the bed.

That’s most helpful! Many thanks! How are you liking your TT? We’re loving ours, almost 8k miles already this year. Had a problem with the dealer installed WDH system (it slipped back, almost lost a bar!). Need to get all that tuned in, otherwise no problems (fingers still crossed) and fits us as a couple and our F150 TV perfectly.

You may find that dealers installing WDH systems seem to assume they don't need to torque any of the fasteners. Since you've already had problems with it, you should make sure they do it right. If they won't do it, just take the trailer and the WDH installation instructions to any auto shop and pay them to do it.

I read the instructions/owner s manual and it’s scary that a dealership could be be so non-caring. Needs certain levels, torques, etc. This is why I pay people for the special stuff.

I too have a 2019 22rbswe cougar and it seems to me that my water pump is excessively loud. especially inside our TT, not so much outside though . Is that normal or is it just me ? Next time I'm at the dealer I'll have too check another one to see.

We have a 2019 22RBS. The water pump sounds like an old Jimmy diesel just bogging down on a mud hole. There are ways to quiet them down, but I haven't bothered. Our trailer is the evil one with the window in the front. Eastern version?

We are at about 6000 miles on ours, including the trip from Indiana to our dealer in Manitoba. We pull it with a 2015 F150 SC 3.5 EB. The trailer weighs 5500+ empty, so it is heavy. I do the driving, and the line, "Don't even know it's back there", doesn't apply. I have a Husky hitch and have it reasonably tuned. I just raised the brackets one notch this morning.

Two years ago, i towed a new 21 RBS trailer home, 90 miles, with no equalizer hitch, on a day with a good side wind. My next purchase was the Husky.

Ha ha , kjohn you sure described our water pump right !!! The pump is so loud I didn't want to use it for fear I'd wake up our neighbors. just kidding it's not that loud but it's close. Glad to hear I'm not the only one though.

Most water pump noise is actually not the pump itself but the PEX lines rattling together or against framing or cabinetry. Easy to fix with some foam insulation, but generally not so easy to to access all the piping.

They jam the pump in that little cubby and it just barely has room. Ours was rubbing on the side of the cubby so it made a lot of racket when it ran. And all the lines transfer that noise. Mount the pump on some sort of pad and use flex hoses to connect the pump up and it will help.

I ended up moving the pump and adding a filter and a surge tank and put it all under the bed. So it's fairly quiet now and everything is nice and neat and accessible.

The first picture is the before picture. The other two are after I moved everything.

We've had ours for a year and a half. I've done a lot of work on it to clean up the mess from the factory but haven't had any real problems except for a bad AC which was replaced under warranty. Also had water leaks in all four corners but I think I've got that under control now.

I spent five months as a volunteer campground host last summer. So I was living it the whole summer and really enjoyed it.

Steve you should work for Keystone as the QualityControl manager. All of your fixes should of been done at the factory. Would you like to come and go through my 22 rbs and straighten it out.
