A/C Issue

My camper has a Coleman Mach 15K BTU A/C with an analog thermostat. The other day I turned the A/C on and the thermostat blew a contact and the compressor would not come on. I tried to install a battery operated Honeywell thermostat and everything worked expect the compressor would not come on. I changed the capacitors with no luck. When I touch the yellow wire to the red wire the compressor comes on, so I figured that I just wasn't smart enough to get a house thermostat to work on my camper. I then ordered a Airexcel Digital Thermostat which was a replacement for my analog. Still no luck. Everything works expect the compressor will not come on when hooked to the thermostat. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just a guess.... Could be the AC control board went bad. Last year my compressor would kick on upon startup, run for a minute or two then shut off, despite being over 95 out. I replaced the control board and thermostat together (they are usually paired) and worked perfectly ever since.
