winter storage

Just wondering how important people feel it is to get the tires off of the ground for winter storage?

Should I pull it up on wood or those plastic thingys?

I pull it up on to the plastic "Legos". I think wood would soak up too much water and not dry too fast. One spring when I just left them on ground level, we had so much water the tires were sitting in water and the water was freezing.

Ok but water is not going to be an issue.
I was wondering about the degradation of the rubber being in contact with the freezing ground all winter.

But of course a piece of wood or plastic will not provide much better protection.

Just wondering what others do over the winter season.

I just leave mine on the gravel and never had any problems. Your tires will wear out before any other problems show up.

I park mine on patio bricks year round.

I have been using 2x10 treated wood 5 feet long for several years.

I've always used solid concrete blocks for winter storage. Under tires and jacks.
