Alpine Fridge Issues

My fridge is having issues turning on. Even though the Lp is on, it doesn't appear to run the Fridge. Does the unit have to be plugged-in in order to run? I currently have it plugged in but it's still not running even though it says it's on automatic?

If the Alpine is not plugged into shore power and the fridge is set to AUTO, it should automatically switch over to propane. If you plug in to shore power, it will defer to electricity and should also work. Electricity takes priority over propane IF both options are available. Make sure you are getting propane --- turn on the stove and light it.

How do you know that the fridge is not running? It doesn't make a sound like your stick-house fridge except for the quite quiet sound of the fan. If the light is on AUTO, it is probably working.

It also takes several hours for the fridge to become cold when you turn it on. If you turn it on tonight, it should be cold in the morning but count on 12 hours for it to cool down.

I would make sure your battery is fully charged.Without 12v the LP side of the fridge won't light

What brand is it? Dometic? Is it showing a code at the panel, like E3?
Check that your battery disconnect switch is on.
Propane in the tank?

Thanks.....I found out this morning I had a bad valve regulator on the propane tank. Had to buy a brand new tank since I was already out of town.
