New to Travelling

Hello everyone. We sold our Harley so that we could purchase a TT. My son is almost 6 and I figure we have a good 10 years of camping with him so let's make that happen.

We fell in love with the 2018 28BHSWE. We had a bit of trouble as our dealer said that my F150 would have no problem pulling it. Well, we're surrounded by mountains here so it was not going to cut it. We went out and found this beauty: 2013 Ram 2500 with air bags. Now I'm excited to tow this beast. Our first camping trip is to an RV park near us at the end of April.

So if you have any advice/tips please elect me know. The only problem I've had so far is that I bought the Furrion Observation cam and hooked it up to the mount. Apparently there's a switch on the converter panel for it but I can't find it. Anyone know where the power is for the camera?Click image for larger version

Welcome to the forum from upstate NY. Good truck upgrade - can't beat a diesel for towing.

Welcome to the forum from SE Texas. Congrats on the new trailer and the TV upgrade. Sorry you got taken by the "salesman" but, I'm glad you realized the misinformation before things went bad. Enjoy your new rig!

Yeah, I had asked him about a dozen times because I was worried about it. We also realized that we didn't want a smaller trailer and I figured we would have to get a new truck at some point so here we are. Lol

Unfortunately that happens more than not. Salesmen as a rule don't have any idea about what can tow or be towed by any given vehicle, they are there to SELL trucks or rvs ONLY!
Your F150 must not have had the all powerful tow anything 2.7 or 3.6 V6 Eco Boost!
Sorry Ford guys, couldn't help myself! LOL!

i have the same camera which was also prewired. I have to have either my parking lights or head lights on and be plugged into the camper for it to work. The camera itself should be wired into the running lights of the camper, or that is how mine is. Hope this helps.

Yes, it helps. I've heard from a few people that this is how it works. I'll plug into the truck and see what happens!

Welcome from Maryland t dog80! Sorry to hear you had to upgrade to a larger truck but glad to hear you recognized the need early and cut to the chase.

Thanks so much guys. You sure know how to make a fella feel welcome!

In a side note, this forum has already helped me: I plugged in the truck, turned on the marker lights, and that Furrion camera is working like a charm. I mean, I couldn't not help me back it up, right?
