Flying J RV Mastercard
Just received notice today 11/16/10 that Flying J RV Master-cards are no longer usable as of yesterday 11/15/2010. Thanks for the warning TAB. Since the merger of Pilot and Flying J they are phasing out credit cards. I just thought I would post this for folks who are full timers or traveling and rely on these cards for fuel and might not have received notice yet. , Hank

No credit cards ... but very apologetic, stating that the new federal credit card regulations will not make it profitable for them to maintain their cards. A discount and rewards card is available at all 550 Pilot-Flying J stations. Like the old frequent fueler cards I guess. One good thing is that the Pilot stations, in time, are going to be made more RV friendly with RV lanes like Flying J's.
I guess I'm just ticked because of the short notice. I still like their fuel and most of their facilities. .......... Hank

I don't have one of their credit cards but we do frequent Flying J's and never Pilots - only because of NO rv facilities. We like the dedicated fueling lanes.
If ALL Pilots get them, then we can frequent both facilities.
Are the names staying the same - separate - or will all become Flying J's?

From what I can see they will be Pilot-Flying J run under F J Management if the FTC does not get involved.

Went on a site recently and found that Flying J had to get rid of 36 stations to get Uncle Sam to approve Pilot takeover.
From what I understand, the dropped FJ's are now mostly Loves.
I didn't care for Loves when I was on the road.
Restaurants were too expensive.
If you have the old frequent fuelers card, they can be re-registered on web site. (That) may have changed since the takeover.
FJ is now charging for Dump station use.
Here locally (WV) Krogers are being serviced by Pilot-Flying J.
