Toy hauler bike rack

Am i crazy for considering mounting a bike rack on the outside of my rear ramp?

I have mounted kids bikes on the walls of the garage but there are only so many studs in there to use and i worry about an adult sized bike coming off the wall.

Guess I'm missing something! I think I'd let the ramp down & roll them in & tie'm down. Thought toyhaulers were for hauling toys.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't be drilling into the ramp on the hauler. Not a good idea. Loosen the handlebars, lay them flat on the top bed, raise it towards the ceiling and head down the road......uh, after the snow melts in Minnesota.

Not sure, but thinking maybe OP was thinking of a hitch with a bike rack but I wouldn't do that either. From reading posts on here they get an extreme amount of bouncing when carried on the rear of an RV. Definitely wouldn't attach to the door!! Rethink your cargo and find a safer place to carry them inside the garage. You could look at a way to maybe pin your lower sofa up and make a lightweight bracket off of the supports for the sofa on each side but would recommend pinning it up before hanging anything on it.

Also, ramps are notorious for being weak. I would be careful doing anything that might affect the integrity of the door.

pics aren't very clear, but this is how I did it. found as many studs as I could and mounted to each several times and welded other end to the bunk track.

I did something very similar on the wall in between the two windows at the back of the garage where the beds are. I was only able to find studs and each end of the windows and none in the middle. So it can hold 2 kid bikes but not much more weight than that.

Here's what I did in my TH. You can get those bike racks on Amazon. Secured the bike rack to anchor points with loop straps and ratchet strap over the top of the bikes. So far so good.
