Maybe we'll rethink our plans for a late summer Michigan trip, bottom to top then the UP and over to WI, MN and ND. We visited my southern MI hometown a couple years back and maybe that's enough. Heck, all we are getting now weatherwise is an ice storm

Oh come on now, don't be a chicken. By late summer it will most likely quit snowing on us. Heck by then most of our snow may be melted.

Now if we could just get sourdough to keep that gulf moisture down there where it belongs we wouldn't be having this conversation

I'm doing my best to contain this stuff but it's coming by so fast, filled with so much sand I can't see much of it to catch!! Combine that with the fact that my wind sock (to catch the wind) is so perforated that it lets most of it through. I'll keep trying to catch it and keep it in place and apologize for this stuff that gets through.

I went to knock out the first mowing of the year. Pull cord gave up the ghost first pull. Mower maintenance day instead of lawn mowing day. Never ending projects. Should be up and going after a trip to the farm supply store.

Sorry for all you guys that are snowed in. I LOVE snow but would agree. A foot in the yard in mid-April would drive me bananas. Hoping it melts fast for ya!!

Freeheel, "I went to knock out the first mowing of the year. Pull cord gave up the ghost first pull. Sorry, but I've got to head down the beach and find Momma and her bag of shells.....

wowsers John.. Was 80 yesterday, and in the sun it was not really pleasant. Camping yesterday was fun. Nasty thunderstorms coming in soon, so glad we got back and unloaded early enough.

Dave,

I thought this might help with your planning. By "late summer trip" I suppose you mean after 5PM and before dark ?????

Will I need chains on the TV and 5er? Gotta be ready for anything and since I'm originally from the snow belt of South Michigan plus was a Boy Scout in my youth, recall lot of that white stuff over a winter
