Water pump location

Good afternoon folks! My wife and I recently took the plunge and bought a 2013 Springdale 311. Still learning the ropes after only two weeks of ownership.
I actually have 2 questions at the moment.

First, where is the water pump located in this unit, and how visually will I know the inlet side so I can attach the hose to winterize the water system?

I called Keystone but the young lady only had a vague idea that it is located somewhere around the pantry area near the fridge. Can anyone please nail this down for me?

Next, I assume that the battery is just removed for winter in the same way as removing a car battery, but I don’t want to cause any issues due to being irresponsible

Congratulations on your new camper.

I can't answer the first question, but yes you want to remove the battery and keep it on a trickle charger for the winter. Actually, you should remove the battery, if you don't have a battery disconnect, any time you won't be using the camper for more than a few days, certainly more than a week, if it isn't plugged into shore power. The radio and the propane detector both create a "phantom draw" that will drain the battery pretty quickly and batteries that are drained too low will lose their ability to take a new charge.

I think your water pump is located behind a panel in your passthru compartment.

I’ll admit my ignorance, and I really appreciate the nudge in the right direction. I’m thinking that the panel would have to be accessed from under the bed somehow?

This thread suggests to check under the refrigerator, if you don't find it behind a panel in the past through storage as Chuck suggested: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url...3&share_type=t

Access from outside. Drivers side door of your pass through storage. There is a panel on the backside held on by 3-4 square head screws. Pull the screws and panel off and you'll be looking at the pump. Discharge is connected to city water inlet. Suction goes down thru floor to freshwater tank.

That's my set up any way. I suspect yours is very similar since your fill and city water connection are by the storage access just like mine.
