Raptor 356 electrical issue

We have a Raptor 356 and every time we plug it in at our house, it trips the house circuit breaker, if I plug it into a gfci circuit, it will trip it. We aren’t even running the fridge or ac units, I tried running it to a 120V 20 amp circuit with nothing else hooked up and it tripped it? I am hoping someone can give me an idea on what we need to do to keep this from happening every time.

Thanks for the help everybody.

How are you plugging it in at home? A plug adapter? Using an extension cord? If using an extension cord what gage wire is the extension and how long is it? Have you turned all the breakers off in the camper and plugged it in?

Another reason plugging these rigs into GFCI outlets causes them to trip out is because multiple tiny leakages from multiple circuits within the rig are added together and that is what the home GFCI sees and it trips out. If you really need to plug in at home, it will be best to have a dedicated non GFCI circuit installed. https://www.rvtravel.com/rv-electric...nuisance-trip/

Spring for a licensed electrician to come to your house and install a 50A outlet you can plug into while parked and you won't have to fiddle with extension cords, tripping breakers and any other issue. Hopefully you have 50A available in your home electrical service.
