Slide cable plate torn off inside
While trying to extend one slide on our 2013 31ft Sprinter, the rear slide stopped and after a closer look, the top left metal plate on the inside, with the cable/pulleys on it, was completed ripped off from the wall, with just holes and broken screws left! We did manage to get the slide back in.
Just wondering if anyone has had issues like this and has a good repair plan. You really can't get to the wall with the slide in and the slide "facade" in the way. I checked some videos but it seems the motor/actuator mechanism is underneath the bottom shielding - somewhere - and not easily accessible.
I didn't see any other questions on this, just wondering if it is an easy fix (I don't think so) or a trip to the service center is required (I think so).
For now, we just have a small room at the back, not disasterous as there are only 2 of us and the camper will remain parked all summer.
Would appreciate any help!!
Cheers, Randy.
