Denali Recommendations

Looking for CG recommendations around Denali for 6-8 nights in mid June.
Would prefer at least electric and water hookups.

I think we stayed for about a week at Riley Creek just inside the entrance when we went up there back in 82 on my dad's retirement trip. I didn't spend much time in the campground. Mostly took shuttle buses into the park and hiked around on my own. They also have some great guided hiking tours if you are into that kind of thing. Was only seventeen back then. One time the tour guide sent us back down to the road in pairs when an older person had to be airlifted off the top of one of the mountains. More of a big hill, actually. I think there are a couple RV camps further into the park but you might need a special pass of some sort.

None come to mind off the top of my head I will do a little research and get back to you. Not sure on the size of your rig for camping in the park. There are a couple CG in the park but there are no hookups. We have stayed @ Montana Creek Campground, but have not stayed at any close to the park.
This is peak time so don't be supprised if some places are already booked.

We stayed at Denali RV Park & Motel in 2016. That is our Montana in the second picture. You can see how tight the RV park is, but that was par for the course as we traveled through Alaska. The RV park is just north of Denali and convenient to the town just outside of the park and the entrance to Denali. Friends camped deep inside the park at Teklanika River Campground. The campground was spacious and beautiful but you cannot leave the park until the end of your stay unless you purchase another bus ticket to return to the park. There are also a lot of pull outs where you can dry camp for free along the Parks Highway.

Ok here are some links....
Campgrounds inside Denali National Park

Campgrounds outside the park close to the park entrance

There is also Denali State Park south of south of Denali NP not sure on how you plan on getting to DNP but if coming from Anchorage this route will afford you many more views of the mountian. The newest state park has hook ups and opened in 2017 here is the link

Good luck and hope this helps.
