Cougar 336bhs question

Hello everyone I am new here I am a previous forest river rock wood owner and I am looking a buying a 2016 cougar 336bhs. My question is what is the measurement from the ground to the overhang part on this camper. I just want to know if my truck is too high before I even consider looking at it.

I don’t know the measurement off hand but I’m pulling mine with a 2014 3500 ram mine is 8’5” over the top of the bed rail when hitched and my truck squats 2” when hitched. So measure the top of the bed rail of 3500 and add 6.5”
Mine is perfectly level when hitched.


If you don’t mind me asking how much they asking for a 2016 336bhs? I was thinking about selling my very lightly used 2015 I have always had in covered storage for a toy hauler but have no idea what it would go for.

There going anywhere from 35000.00 -38000.00 this one I am looking at they want 29000.00

NADA lists the 2015 Cougar 336BHS low retail/average retail at $21,150/$25,500

The 2016 lists for $23,250/$28,000.
