Forum 'Newsletter' question

Howdy;

Been a member since 2011, This new newsletter thing is ok I guess, but for
those of us that don't want it and want to opt out it appears that in order to do
so we have only the one option of eliminating all emails from the forum
not just the newsletter. I like the fact that I can receive emails informing me
that I have a response to a posting I've made or that something is changing , .
I'm one that checks in (maybe not signing in due to new format negating that need),
daily and sometimes more often thus makes the 'Newsletter' un-necessary for those
that do . I can see the 'newsletter' being nice for those that don't check-in regularly
and may prompt them to check-in to check it out.
Whatever, I'd just appreciate the option to eliminate the 'Newsletter' from my in box
(actually it arrives in the SPAM folder), without having to do so after seeing it.

Thanks for your time to read this and perhaps consider the suggestion.

hank

Janet H, Howdy;

I like your use of the word "should" in your reply. Any way to test it out? I
mean if I were to utilize that particular option how would anyone know, they
could send me a notification but if I didn't receive it I'd never know ... any
method to test it?

If you click unsubscribe on the newsletter you will be fine. We use a separate mailing service for that newsletter for this very reason.

Ok, I'll give it a try whenever the next one shows up. The newest one has
already been 'recycled'.

Shows up in my spam folder as well. Since I’m not on any metered internet, I’ll just leave the setting. Good to know I have an option.

Janet H. Howdy;

Ok, this newsletter came with 3 choices and when I chose to unsubscribe from
this newsletter the next page asked me this;
"
Unsubscribe

So, you can see what my dilemma... will I lose ALL emails from the forum?
It would appear so from what is stated therein...

Janet can verify, but since the newsletter EMAIL is separate from the message FORUM, you will not get anymore emails. You will continue to get messages. My 2 cents. I'd wait on cashing that check too quickly, but I believe you can't go wrong.

Posting the link for all to have if wanted would be a good idea. Help?

Janet H. Howdy;

Alright, the latest edition of the newsletter showed up this morning
it was the same routine as last week but this time I hit the cancel button
that showed up like last week, see below.

Ok, this newsletter came with 3 choices and when I chose to unsubscribe from
this newsletter the next page asked me this;
"
Unsubscribe
If you wish to unsubscribe from ALL future emails from Social Knowledge, LLC, click the "Unsubscribe Now" button below.

Email Address: ha****@****.com

So, I reckon we'll have to wait till whenever I get some sort of regular forum
type communique to see if I only eliminated the newsletter or all
communication except signing on or looking at the home page as a visitor.

Howdy;

Well, guess what I just got in my email just a few moments ago?

"Keystone RV Forums Newsletter Issue 11 - June 2018 - Week 24"

Have tried to unsubscribe twice now ... reckon they just want to send and
then not respect a desire to not have their "Newsletter" .

Unsubscribed again so ... wonder it it will 'take' this time "3 time being the
charm" as is said.

Sorry about the issues you are having. I have passed on this issue to our tech support folks to look into what's broken. Stay tuned...

Andy R, Howdy;

Thanks for passing along my concern. Haven't had a "Newsletter" show up
since 6-14. Reckon the techs found the bug.

Thanks again for your help.

Don't know if the humor is intentional - but that's funny!
It's too late now, but you could have gotten Hankaye to forward them to you.

Getting the newsletter actually reminded me that I was a member of this forum. I don't read it anymore because I check the site at least once a day now. I just delete the email along with the other 25 to 50 each day that I don't open, so I don't see what the big deal about getting it if you don't need it is. YMMV.
