This is Zoe, she passed 2 years ago this May @ 14.5 years of age.

This is Genie, she will be 8 months old in a couple of weeks, she went on her first camping trip at 8 weeks.

We also have 2 birds, a cat and a horse... they do not camp

We used to travel with a dog.
When my wife and I met 13 years ago she had Bear, a 128 lb. Golden/Great Pyrenes
I brought a truck and travel trailer into our relationship and he was a great traveler.
I loved to go camping and while traveling sticking his head out the window. He had
to be put down in 2009 because his hips gave out.

Next was Rosie, a former breeder Golden who we got at 6 yr old. She liked camping
too, but not traveling there so much. She had a stroke in 2016 and we had to put
her down.

Now as much as we would enjoy having a dog we realize we are not home a lot even
when we are home and the local grandkids are allergic to dogs and cats.

So we travel without a pet and just enjoy other peoples dogs.

Kazzie the wonderdog

Our dachshund Kazzie came to us years ago as a rescue long before we started snowbirding. She will be 19 in July.
She doesn't do alot other than sleep these days but she goes with us wherever we travel. We can leave her for a few hours because she just sleeps anyway but we don't go much longer than that. We have to carry her up an down the steps and the stairs to the living room in our 3731FL. She cannot hear very well and doesn't see much either, but the nose is still good and she knows when I'm cooking sausage in the morning and begs for some which she gets along with her eggs.
Once she leaves us we will not have another pet.

Gertie is a 10 pound mini D Black smooth coat and she is 7. Freida is a 6 pound mini D long hair and is 3.

My Grandmother was a Gertie and Grandfather was Fred. I'm 71 so they are long since gone but not forgotten. Gertie loves that we winter in AZ but Freida loves the snow but gets along fine just laying in the son.
