FWI: If you have been holding out on getting a LevelMate Pro, CW has them on sale.
Update: Still love the ease of using the LevelMate Pro with the Anderson Levelers. The accelerated battery drain has also been addressed to my satisfaction. By selecting the one hour standby in the settings, I have not had a battery deplete prematurely.

That is next on my list. And it is time. We are camping in South Padre all this week but will be passing a CW on Friday...so that will be a stop. Thanks for the info. Do you recall the price?

I saw this thread pop up again, and have to add an UPDATE:
We have had this setup (LevelMate Pro and Anderson Levers) this entire camping season (2017) and have used it everytime we went out. And everytime we went out and set up, the combo put a smile on my face. It is easy to set up, easy to use, and in my opinion, you just can't find an easier setup method......unless maybe you had someone else do it for you while you sat back and watched or drank a liquid refreshment. Some of you may remember, I was one of the early buyers of this product (LM Pro) and had heard about the battery issues. I modified mine by adding a DC to DC converter and powered it from an overhead 12V light source....before the wall switch. This power supply provides a 3V output for the LM Pro, and of course I added a switch to be able to turn it off when not in use. I may not have gone to that extra work if I had known that LM was going to address the battery issue with updated software for the app., but at any rate, I'm totally happy with the results....both of the LevelMate Pro....and with my mod.

Hey xrated,
Do you feel a switch is necessary, wouldn't the Lmp just go to sleep mode? I like the hard wired idea -no more dead battery ( one less spare battery type to have on hand) can you post a pick of your converter. They are on eBay and Amazon, but would like to see which one you have, did you solder the ends to battery contacts
Thanks mjeronimo

I used a switch to be able to turn off power completely to the DC to DC converter....every little bit helps with house battery drain. Here is a link to the one that I bought on Amazon...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I installed it in a plastic work/hobby box so that I could mount it on the side of the closet in the bedroom. Here is a link to that box....

I think the switch was just something that came from Auto Zone or Advance or Oreilly. It's nothing special, but it is a "lighted" switch so that it's easy to tell whether it is off or on easier. The leads from the converter were soldered to the battery hold inside the LM. I had a guy that I work with do it as that is his forte'.......he's an instrument tech/computer/very small electronic stuff....repair guy. I have good soldering skills myself, but he is excellent on small stuff like that. The other advantage of putting the converter in a plastic work box (I did drill several ventilation holes in the plastic box so that there couldn't be any excessive heat problems) is that the converter I used has variable output settings, via a selector switch. If I recall, you can set it for 1.5Volts, 3Volts, 6Volts, 9Volts, and if that switch got bumped to say the 6 or 9 volt setting by accident, it would probably fry the LM's electronics, since they are made to operate on the 3Volt battery. So, I set it on 3Volts, put the plastic cover on the box and no chance of bumping it to a wrong voltage.

I have been using my LMP and Anderson levelers for a few months. Freakin love this setup. The only thing better would be to have auto-leveling.

No problem, ......it's always pretty easy with Amazon to go into your acct. and look up past orders. Holler if you have any specific questions and I'll do the best I can to answer them....if you are interested.

Just a drop of Super Glue to the switch would have locked it to 3v too!

That's true, but the plastic work box was the perfect place to bring in the incoming 12V wires, the splices from them to the input of the converter, and then the output wires/splices that go out to the LMP.....all contained and in a "junction box". And the perfect place to put the lighted on/off switch, not to mention a good way to mount it to the wall.

I should have added the following to this thread as well.
The latest version of the LevelMate Pro now comes with an on/off switch. I took advantage of the "earlier initial buyer" discount offer they had last fall to get a second unit with the switch. Talk about customer service!
