I would forget both of those and go to the Equalizer.

svt - what is it that is going to make that trailer run 3300 lbs in load? Looking at the floorplan it doesn't look there is much there but it does have a heavy uvw. I know some use the Andersen for a travel trailer, and I have looked them over, but can't for the life of me see how they have more sway control or weight capacity than the 14k Equalizer. I will continue to look into that. Tomorrow will probably be an unproductive day for getting info but I will pursue Monday.

Yes, I was talking about what you are carrying in the trailer - load; sorry for being vague.

I will pursue Monday when folks will talk to me (hopefully). I've never seen anything about the Andersen hitch that would tell me that it is substantially more robust (or as robust) than/as the Equalizer...by any means. Hopefully I will have some success then.

Thank you. I just don't want to buy hitch that won't be strong enough

When loaded with toys in the garage, the tongue weight probably won't change much. The heavy distribution of weight behind the axles will offset much of the incidentals that are stowed in the main cabin and up front. If you weren't loading an 1800 lb RZR, I'd say otherwise.

That Blue Ox Sway Pro that will accommodate your 1600 lb tongue weight. I just can't recommend it as I didn't have much success controlling sway when attached to both my 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton trucks. Your 1 ton truck may have better luck though.

You cant go wrong with the Equalizer. I have a similar toy hauler as you, 1 ton truck, NO sway. I could not be more pleased with this setup.

I had an e2 equalizer WD hitch and never really liked it for a number of reasons such as the weight of all the components, getting the bars in place especially if needing to lever into place and noise.

Last summer I bought the Anderson hitch and have been very pleased with it. Easier to handle, easier to tighten chains with a ratchet in lieu of levering a bar in place and it is quiet.

If you raise the tongue, there is no need to leverage the bars into place. They will go into place without issue.

The noise is like a sirens song. It lets you know the hitch is doing its job. It is an acquired taste.

YUP!!! Just like using the bar/chain style, hitch up, lift the tongue and the stuff goes on without any tension.
