There's no snow, there's no snow, there's no snow!!Oh No

Oh no, there's no snow. Just got back from a weekend at the trailer in East Tawas Mi and natta on any snow. Had a great amount on Ice Fog roll in over night last night into this morning putting a nice frost on the trees and ground, plus the roads where shiny also.. For all you in snow land, what's your snow been like this early into the Winter, (almost)

For those that remember my haunting of the trailer a few years ago, seems my "spirits" gave up on me after I upped the Anti on them when I took home the Top Shelf Bourbon and left the bottom stuff behind...: cool:

We've still got about 2" of ice crusted snow on the ground. Makes me happy that I sold the snowmobiles last year and bought the slingshot. Now, there's just enough ice on the roads (not to mention the "brrrrr temps") so we won't be going for any rides until we head south after the holidays.

It's good to know that your spirits have "high standards" and won't bother the "bottom shelf stuff".... Hmmmmm makes for an expensive "haunting" if they decide to get frisky on you....

Enjoy the week. Supposed to be in the high 30's tomorrow and mid 40's Tuesday/Wednesday with freezing rain Thursday. So much for a white Christmas this year. Of course we do have 9 more days to go......

Well.....I'm kind of in the camp of "Oh no, no snow"! Thinking Great! Used to love it and go TO it. Bought a mountain house so we could sit in it and watch it...no longer. Now, here I am, getting down to 55 or so tonight and thinking I've got to have a jacket on. Just finished eating a platter of bacon wrapped fresh shrimp.....nope....don't need the snow anymore.

No thanks...... I had enough of the white "stuff" for one life time. Too cold for swimming, the pool is down to 69F. But It was nice to have my coffee outside this morning in shorts and a tee shirt. Sleeping with the windows open tonight if it gets chilly we may be forced to put a light blanket on the bed.
However, I did see the truck's fuel heaters come on once this year. Almost forgot what that little squiggly light looked light.

Mush on my northern friends. Cheers, Hank

We have had about 24" so far this season, which is well ahead of pace. Most of that came from one or two snowfalls. Since it has been mid 30's to low 40's for the past 2 weeks, the only remaining snow is from the piles where it was plowed into. We typically get 85-110" per year.

I am not a huge fan of the snow. If it was up to me, I'd only want snow from Dec. 24th-Dec. 31st.

I've got only one comment from here in central Arizona, "Thank goodness there's NO snow!", if we get any I'm heading further south.
That's the reason we're here 'cause "there's no snow, there's no snow!".

Mid January and still no snow in Houston.
And, my back hurts from bending over to get to the bottom shelf.

My daughter and SIL live in Columbia, MO. The initial forecast was 7-9" for the monster storm that has rolled through the midwest and is heading to the east coast. They ended up with approx. 18". They lost power yesterday evening/last night at about 11:30. When I spoke with them today at 5PM, they still didn't have it back.....spending the night at some friends house.

Yep. 8" in KCMO and 12" in The Lou. Columbia being 1/2 way got crapped on from both sides of the state.

What do you call a man after a snow storm who's snow blower won't start?

I'm not expecting any sympathy from you in the frozen north, but last weekend temps approached the 60s and we spent the weekend at the lake.

This was the view out the back door this weekend.

When you're inside looking out, snow scenes like the above are beautiful. When you're outside, shoveling that same snow, not so much beauty as a more appropriate "4 letter word" to describe it (not SNOW).... YMMV

Although we live in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies we have had no snow for a month and a half. Saw a few guys riding their motorcycles over the last few days. Slated to get colder here towards end of week but for half way through January I will take it. Last year i ran out of places to shoot the snow from my snowblower. That's Calgary. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. I don't miss snow one little bit and wife and I are heading to Arizona in a few weeks for a two week ride and visit. Can't wait.

Okay we are suppose to get snow on Saturday and then again on Tuesday. I have truly enjoyed Michigan with no snow. But I did know I could never be so lucky. Hopefully we will get enough on Tuesday to close the college and I could have a 4 day weekend. Cross your fingers everyone
