PSI re front tires

Hi there

We bought a new 1-ton last week to solve our payload issue. Yes, presently, it is over kill. But in the long run it was the right choice.

But the point of my post is this question...
The dealer aired up the back tires to 80 psi, max pressure on the E rated tire. But they aired up the front to only 62 psi.

For what it's worth, the front axel scaled at 5100lbs without the trailer, I wrote the number down wrong with the trailer and WDH so I can't report that. I'll have to re-weigh on Friday.

Should I leave the front at 62, or air up to 80 like the rear?

Thanks for your thoughts
Mike

Congrat's on the new truck!

Inside the drivers door is a sticker indicating the proper PSI for your vehicle. This is the pressure that it designed to give the best payload and performance. My 2016 F350 has the placard stating 65 psi front / 80 psi rear, 80 psi on the spare tire.

Good Luck,

Doh! I should have thought of that. You're right, mine reads 60, 80, 80.

Thanks

My 2016 F350 CC DRW is 75 front and 65 rear. I run 75 all the way around.
