Interesting. I wasn't aware of that option. Thanks!

Instead of doing a sub frame have you looked into correct track? It makes sure your axles are aligned, but also gives you the benefit of a 2" lift.

You would take off the spring hangers and build a sub frame assembly out of 2" square tubing and weld it to the existing trailer frame. Then you would remount spring hangers to that, in effect giving you a 2" lift.

Where does it say that installing Correct Track adds 2" of lift? I thought I read the site pretty well and didn't see anything about that. I looked for installation instructions and couldn't find anything either. Seems they are pretty set on their systems only being installed by trained service centers.

In the description, under "quick facts" it's the 5th bullet statement:

Correct Track™ Quick Facts:
•Easy bolt-on installation
•Improves fuel economy
•Tires run smoother and cooler
•Preserves tire life
•Raises trailer 2 inches
•Trailer tows with tow vehicle, not against it

Well that's huge really. I wish I had known about this with my Cougar because after I put 16" wheels and tires I went down to 1" of clearance and I was hitting the trailer floor. This would have resolved that easily for less money than many other safe options.

Coincidentally, the system came as a factory installed accessory on my new trailer and that was the first time I had heard of it. The PDI guy didn't even know what it was. He told me it was the "rubber suspension", which I suspected was BS so I went online to see what it was. Never found that tidbit though.

Thanks!

In preparation for picking up our new Avalanche 361TG, I installed the pullrite ram adapter and the 18K ISR superglide with "low profile feet" vs the standard feet that come with the unit.....it brings the unit down 2 inches in the bed.
