??? upgrade wheels and tires ???

Our standard is 225x75x15D. They are Trailer Kings.
Can we put an E on those wheels.

Side question here. Have looked for the recommended inflation on the tires, the 225x75x15s. Think it it 65# but cannot find on the sidewalls. I think I am blind!

Thanks

Look on the back of the wheels for the spec. Hopefully it will say either 80psi or 2830 lbs. if it will support the LRE.

And yes, LRD is 65psi.

You may be blind....or need to consult a tire chart. In Readers Digest large print, of course. Lol

Yes you can. I recently changed from the exact tire you have. I chose the Goodyear Endurance trailer tire. (As a member of the Escapees RV group I got them 15% discount from Goodyear.) Love the feel of the new tires!

I would do a check on the wheels. All wheels are not the same and RV manufacturers really like to mix and match as they go along so no guarantee the OP has E rated wheels. Hope he does but much better to verify.

If these are the 6 lug 15' wheels you have, they are rated to E rated tires at 2830 pounds each. Chris

All tires, by law are required to have a statement about the air pressure needed to support the tire's max load capacity. Sometimes it's low on the sidewall and in other tires it may be in the middle of the tire sidewall but the letters must 6mm or larger.

Yup Max load @ 80 psi for this LR-E tire is right there on sidewall.

That DOT serial is iffy at best
The Symbol "DOT" comes first, then 2 characters that are the plant code. The last 5 are to be the date code. Stuff between 1st 2 and data are optional.
date code in tin the round plg. Just sloppy. If mold markings are this sloppy one might wonder about the quality of materials.

If the plant code is AQ then tire made by CARLISLE TIRE & WHEEL CO. LTD

MEIXIAN, GUANGDONG, China

That wheel is a sendel T03 which is the most common trailer wheel in the industry. Also the most commonly copied wheel. Not all brands have the same specs. Check the stamp on the backside to make sure, but it is probably rated for 80 psi
