New Cougar

Hello all. Recently picked up a new (2014) Cougar 31SQBWE (our first RV) and can't wait for the nice(r) weather to get here! We've been renting RVs for the last couple summers and decided to take the plunge and go all-in on one of our own.

After a couple months of research (looking at different floor plans, build materials, features/options, etc.) we hit up the local RV show a few weeks ago and ended up making a deal on our Cougar.

Spent the week or so between the inital handshake and delivery plowing thru this forum and generating my list of questions/concerns for the deal on signing day. Printed and used the PDI checksheet for the walk-thru (which was met with very positive feedback from the dealer), and signed on the line and drove off the lot with our (monstrous) new RV in tow.

We'll be towing it with our 2008 Tundra TRD (5.7L, 4x4, Dualcab) that I had already installed Firestone Airsprings on a couple years back for use with our boat and utility trailer(s). No issues towing (or stopping!) our RV so far, and don't anticipate any.

Looking forward to sharing our adventures in the PNW this summer and our upcoming (PCS) move from WA to NC at the end of the summer.

Pics or it didn't happen!

to the forum from your nearby northern neighbor. We spend some of our camping time in WA and have enjoyed our trips there. Perhaps you'll make your way "north"...... your American dollar looks good right now so you'll be financially ahead (in most areas) if you decide to pay us a visit.

Congratulations on your new Cougar!! Safe travels wherever you go.

I can't wait to get mine. We ordered a 31SQB (the east coast version). We wanted the vineyard interior so our dealer had to order from the factory.

Congrats! We are waiting on a Premier 31BHPR, nearly identical floorplan. Enjoy your summer!
