Picture size?

When posting a new thread I included three pictures; they were way too large! On other forums, when I include a picture in a post, the forum software automatically reduces the size of the picture to fit the post.

How do I do the same here?

To the best of my knowledge, this forum software does not automatically reduce the picture size to fit the post. It does, however, limit the size of pictures in your signature and avatar.
You will have to downsize the picture(s) using your own computer software before including the photo(s) as part of a post.

Festus,

What is the optimum size for a picture included in a post?

Frank:
Several posters have attached "thumbnail photos" as part of their posts have found that this thumbnail size works pretty well. By using the thumbnail and clicking on it, the resulting enlarged photo (360x480 pixels) is of reasonable size- one that provides sufficient detail of the subject.
This size may not be "optimal" but it will give you a base from which to start. Try this and see if it works for you.
(Note: A small size email photo is usually around 640x480 pixels)

When camping neighbors stop by for a drink ... I like to post their photos at 600x600 pixels.
