Slides not adjusted ?

We have 2021 Alpine 3790FK. Both the kitchen and bedroom slides will not go out. Both start but get crooked then stop. I did the reset on circuit board but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Taking to repair shop on April 21. But like to get it fixed on my own.

Do you know what your slide mechanism is for each slide? They can be different.

Cable slide?
Schwintek Slide?
Rack and Pinion Slide?
Hydraulic?

Perhaps post a pic.

Welcome aboard! I'm sure you'll find some helpful advise here.

How did you reset the controller?

Just asking to be sure you did the right thing.

What did you do exactly?

I’m only asking because there is a specific method to “re synch” the motors.

I followed youtube video and on panel ran slides out till it stopped then held in button for 3 seconds 7 times then tried to put it out again. Did not work. Then I found slide circuit board and press small button six times then on 7th lights flashed and I thought it reset. But it flashed 9 times. Tried to open slides again. No luck. Please help.

Pressing that button 7 times puts it in “over ride” doesn’t reset anything.

There are 2 LEDs in the slot on the controller. One will flash 1 or 2 times, the other will flash up to nine times. Post how many times each LED flashes.

Count the green, it will flash 1 or 2

Then count the red, it will flash up to 9 times. Tell me what comes up.

If you have 2 slides not working, you’ll need to find 2 separate controllers. The schwintek controller only operates 1 room.

I know it’s not what you wanted to hear, but let’s see if we can’t figure out the issue(s) and hopefully a solution.

It’s unfortunate that they’ve gone away from the hydraulic slides in the bedroom. I don’t know how they would be able to do it in the kitchen slide, but the older Alpines had all the hydraulics for the bedroom under the bed. It reduces unserved storage, but worth it IMO. Good luck with that Schwintek junk. I’m sure Chcuckster will get you through it.
