Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new trailer!!

You don't give the specs on your truck or trailer, but, a 3/4 ton Ram diesel will be hard pressed to handle what you've bought IMO. I've not pulled up the numbers on the trailer but I do know the numbers (about) of your Ram. It will tow it but it will be, I speculate, well overloaded with that trailer. Maybe not.....but I doubt it.

Edit; this is a 19000 lbs trailer with a dry pin weight of 3460... into DRW territory to say the least. Your 3/4 ton, with air bags and help from above, is WAY outclassed by this trailer. IMO the combo is a danger to you and everyone else on the road.

I'd suggest a B&W turnover with the Companion 5th wheel hitch in a 3500 SRW minimum, dually would be better.

I've got a 2016 Dodge 2500 Cummins with 8' bed that i'm rigging up
for it. Talking with a trailer guy tomorrow about a setup for truck. Any suggestions as to what 5th wheel to mount in bed? I'm putting air bag
system on rear to help support my package. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated for sure. My previous trailer was a 27' Airstream what a step up!!
Wife is excited about the roominess and fireplace..I love the garage.
This has got to be a gag!

Tow Vehicle

I think I need some advice here. I forgot to mention my tow vehicle is a 2016 Dodge 2500 Club Cab with 8' bed 4wd with singles on rear. Am I over doing this situation? Trailer is still sitting on lot waiting for my financing to go through. It shows dry weight of 15000 lbs and a 3460 hitch weight. Am I outside of reality here? Of course the selling party assured me no problem.
This is all new to me...I forgot to mention I do have the 6.7 Cummins with A/T 4WD

WAY out of bounds for a 3/4 ton IMO. I would pull the plug and look for something that my truck could pull or buy that new 450 you've been thinking about.

The diesel in a 3/4 ton is a drawback when looking for heavy trailers - along with 4wd. The selling party assured you it was OK because....they want to sell it. To me, you are way outside reality for a safe towing experience and just trying to stay between the lines.....they just don't go that far.

If you're trolling, I'll bite. If not, I'll apologize in advance.

The reality is that the pin weight will be over 4000 lbs when ready to camp. Your diesel powered Ram probably has a payload capacity of less than 2,500 lbs. You'll be easily 1 ton over on just payload alone. The coil springs on your 2500 will never support that kind of weight. All specs on your truck will be grossly surpassed. First competent law enforcement officer will impound your truck and trailer. You'll be putting the general public in grave danger. This is the reality.

There are nice 5ers out there that will be a better match for your truck. Good luck in your search or if you Both are set on the toy hauler use this as an excuse to buy a 1 ton dually that can haul it. Let us know what you decide.
