We had a similar issue after traveling through Alberta, BC and Alaska (loved Calgary by the way). Ended up being a bent axle. Roads were pretty rough up there (summer construction season) so not really a surprise other than one tire wore so much other than the other. Inside treads got eaten up on one tire. Was some of your 7000k on the ALCAN? New axle fixed the problem.
