Furnace (battery vs generator)

Hi,

When running the furnace on battery the heat comes on just fine. When I connect the generator it appears that the air conditioning comes on?? The air unit starts blowing, etc. This is a 2016 Keystone Passport.

The thermostat is set to furnace, not air or cool... any ideas why this happens?

Thanks in advance for any input!!

Ed

Look at the thermostat, I bet the FAN setting is either Hi or Lo. Set it to AUTO and your problem should go away.

If you have a ď3 buttonĒ thermostat just press the LEFT button until you see FAN displayed, then just press the up or down arrow on the right side until you see AU displayed.

Thanks for the info! I just ran the furnace from shore power and had the same issue. Changed Fan to auto as you suggested and bingo, no fan blowing, just heat!!!

Thanks again, this forum and your attention to it is a fantastic resource for us newbies!!
